When Melissa
Sanders made chocolate macaroons as a child, she
had to stash them in empty clothes hampers to keep
her family from devouring them before dinner. Now
that Sanders sells her cookies via her Los
Angeles–based company, Melfer's Macaroons, people
everywhere are finding hiding places for the
delectable goodies. It's no wonder: They're not
chocolate dipped, but chocolate through and
through, and perfectly moist. Every month, Sanders
offers a different flavor (in March, it's
